You are invited to see some astonishing views of the San Francisco city skyline and San Francisco Bay when you visit the Tasting Room at our winery in Alameda, California. The Tasting Room is generally open Thursday through Sunday from 12 noon to 6 p.m.

You can sample Carica wines as well as wines of five other independent wineries collectively known as the Alameda Point Vintners. This urban winemaking space is located at the former Alameda Naval Air Station, and is now known as Alameda Point Vintners at Rock Wall Wine Company. You can also purchase and pick up Carica wines at the Tasting Room.

We are delighted to share Wine Spectator Insider’s review of Carica’s first Rhone-style red blend:

Carica Temptation Kick Ranch Sonoma County 2007

92 points | $25 | 192 cases made | Red

Intense, rich and layered, with tiers of blackberry, wild berry,

plum and boysenberry. Full-bodied, with pleasant earthy notes

and touches of creamy, toasty oak. This returns to its rich core of

berry flavors, turning fleshy and concentrated.

Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre. Drink now through 2016.—J.L.
